A limited edition machine (only 500 will be made) that commemorates the most iconic motorcycle ever to come from the Borgo Panigale factory, which sees the year 2020 being its 25th anniversary of going into production. To go with its limited production run, Ducati has equipped the Panigale V4 25° Anniversario 916 (which is based off the Panigale V4 S) with a bevy of special parts, which includes an Akrapovic exhaust, a dry clutch conversion, Panigale V4 R front frame, forged magnesium wheels from Marchesini, and other bits and bobs from the Ducati Performance catalog.

“In all of modern motorcycling history, no bike has been as era-defining as the 916, both in terms of design and performance. I’m incredibly proud to present this exclusive version of our Panigale V4, itself a celebration of the 25th anniversary of the 916.” stated Francesco Milicia.

The livery takes its inspiration directly from the Ducati 996 SBK machine that won the 1996 World Superbike Championship, with each of these limited edition units numbered and sold with an authenticity certificate.

The original Ducati 916 was manufactured by Ducati from 1994 to 1998, and it features a 916 cc, fuel-injected, 90-degree v-twin engine with a dry clutch. The engine put out 114 bhp of power at 9,000 rpm and 90 Nm of peak torque at 6,900 rpm. Designed by legendary motorcycle designer Massimo Tamburini, the Ducati 916 is considered to be one of the most beautiful motorcycles ever built.
