This 2020 Ducati 1199 Started life as just one owner's dream bike. It is now a machine that will scare off a brand new V4R at any track. For those in the track bike life world will know a lot about the company called Pierobon. For those who don't know then let me educate you. Pierobon is an Italian brand, renowned for extraordinary achievements in the world of racing. The company is born and raised in harmony with the development of the motorcycle industry.

The collaboration with prestigious motorcycle manufacturers and MotoGp and Superbike teams allow the company to play a leading role in the designing and realization of both chassis and box equipment components. Pierobon has had and continues to have a leading role in the motorcycle sector along with the most important manufacturers. The base of its success lies in a strong entrepreneurial vocation and a natural curiosity for innovation that have allowed the construction of a center for research and development equipped with evolved machinery and systems for the design and manufacture of the products.

X85R is a chassis kit designed to accept Ducati Panigale V2 899/959/1199/1299 engines. The base kit consist of: frame, airbox, air duct, rear subframe, foot pegs and lateral electronic holders.The main part of the kit is the trellis frame, made in stell alloy 25CrMo4 tubes and aluminium alloy EN AW-6082 T6 lateral CNC plates. Together with the frame, it has been developed a new intake system: a complete new airbox and air duct made in carbon fiber and optimized with CFD simulation. The chassis houses the last of the racing v-twins produced by Ducati racing department in 2018, the 1199RS-F18 which is the highest output v-twin engine Ducati Corse ever built for racing.

Find attached the dyno charts for the Pierobon. A couple of things to note on the 2 charts:
-The single line/outright power chart is a 'safe' tune unadjusted for wheelspin, which the bike was doing on the Dyno, so the normal adjustment for this is apparently 5% (+9hp)
-The chart with 2 power/torque figures is the X85R engine against a 2020 V4R. Although the V4 has more outright power (by around 5% ,but 30% less torque) than the V2, it takes much longer to get there. The special build of this motor makes 100% of its power onto the road in around 4.5 sec against approx. 7.5 for the V4R. This was also borne-out at the track during testing as no V4R or any other racebike could stay with it out of corners..the ability to lay down its power was incredible! Dyno Dave said he's never seen anything like it on the dyno that spun-up so fast.
