This 1987 Honda VFR750R RC30 is exceptionally preserved with only 4800 km since new. It is in pristine condition and comes with three keys. The bike starts effortlessly every time. Originally, the RC30 was exclusively available in Japan for its first 1,000 units. Each 1987 model featured a numbered plaque on the frame, emphasizing its status as a pinnacle in motor sports: "For those few who can appreciate the finest Motor Sports has to offer."
Honda launched the RC30 in Japan in the summer of 1987 through a lottery system, granting fortunate winners access to this iconic race replica. Designed as a homologation special, the RC30 enabled Honda's triumph in the inaugural 1988 World Superbike Championship. The key to RC30s success on the road and racetrack is most definitely its rideability. It has very linear power so while it will never pull your arms out the sockets, it can be ridden hard with confidence.
I would describe the handling as light as opposed to sharp so you don’t get any unexpected nervous changes of direction. The riding position plays a big part in this as although the seat appears to slope up and backwards you actually sit more in the bike, which gives the rider good feel and control.
The RC30 didn't reach the USA until 1990, contrasting with its availability in other global markets starting from 1988. This particular bike is among the initial 1,000 units produced, identified by frame number #1000048.
