This 1979 Ducati 900ss is a something of pure beauty. Possessing an absolutely stunning original paint job, showing this is of the time where Ducati would use an older style water transfer sticker on paint. When you run your hand over the decals, they are super smooth, giving nothing but pure vintage perfection. The bike itself also contains only normal wear from minimal use.

Both the 900 and 750 SuperSports used the unique Taglioni - designed desmodromic valve train that is shared among these variants of his 90-degree V-twin. The system eliminates valve springs by using a shaft-drive, bevel-gear mechanical linkage to close and open the valves. This enabled the Ducati V-twins to rev higher and last longer than a comparable bike with valve springs by eliminating the possibility of valve spring breakage and valve “float” at high rpm. The bike also comes with a very rare replacement part catalog 1978.

The Ducati was originally given to the Swedish dealership Biscaya Motors in 1979. Ducati had only allocated 12 Ducati 900SS to the country of Sweden, making this piece of machinery a rare commodity. After purchasing the bike in Sweden, the first owner kept a hold of the Ducati until 2008, when he sold it to a man in Northern Territory of Australia. On that day of import it only 68,000km. Ultimately meaning that the Ducati itself has only done roughly 1400km in the last 12 years on Australian tarmac. In 2016 it reached its 3rd Owner in Brisbane and it could now be yours to take out to the Australian streets.

The bike also comes with all import forms and paperwork dating back to 1978. As well as amazing binder filled with every receipt that was created or purchased for the bike. New tires have also been recently put on it, making it ready to roll to the next cafe of your choice.
