An excellent example of the limited-production homologation special sports bike, with very low mileage for its age. Representing the pinnacle of the 748 range (save for the race-spec ‘RS’ model) the 748R is suitably advanced, featuring an overhead ‘shower-injection’ system in place of traditional throttle bodies, as well as titanium conrods, titanium valves, a slipper clutch and – in the case of second-generation examples such as this – an Ohlins rear shock and front forks.
This 748R comes finished in red, with a white tail and a black synthetic suede seat pad.
It rides on a pair of five-spoke Marchesini wheels, with Brembo brake callipers.
This Ducati 748R is a rare homologation special sports bike, which features a number of performance-focused mechanical upgrades compared to its more sedate stablemates.
Having been kept as part of a private collection over seas for many years and benefitting from a recent recommissioning service, this 748R is offered in superb overall condition, and requires nothing more than a fresh tank of petrol before it can thrill its next owner on the open road.
Imported to Australia in 2023, it's a genuine piece of Italian History. Due to the super low build number #754, this Ducati is highly collectable and will only go North in value.. On the 26th Sept 2023, a complete desmo service was preformed, covering the replacement of the timing belts and other necessary requirements. Registered in NSW until October 2024.
